Offline vs online

Offline, dealer software reads faults, shows live data and does many codings. Online access to the manufacturer's servers is what unlocks the protected jobs:

  • VW Group: SVM online coding and Component Protection
  • Mercedes-Benz: SCN coding and official software updates
  • BMW: programming with the current integration level
  • Porsche: programming and many coding functions

What you need at the car for remote work

Whatever the brand, a remote session needs the right interface for that brand, a Windows laptop, a stable internet connection and a battery charger. How remote coding works explains the setup step by step.

Licensed only

Cracked dealer software is widespread and the most common cause of bricked control units. Every session I run uses licensed software and official access.
